Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering in progress

My research interest is to characterize mechanical and tribological (interfacial) responses of soft biological and synthetic materials in pre-failure and failure regimes. These responses are investigated utilizing stat-of-the-art experimental techniques combined with modeling techniques. Understanding of soft materials can solve new biological and engineering problems, which could not be solved with classical materials. In particular, characterization of soft biological materials can enhance quality of life and provide design parameters for new classes of bio-inspired synthetic materials.
